Return and Refund Policy
Thank you for subscribing to Dear Mama Letters. Because I send physical mail and begin preparing each envelope in advance of the ship date, my refund and return policy reflects the nature of a subscription mail service. Please read this carefully before subscribing so there are no surprises — and please reach out to me anytime at hello@dearmamaletters.org if you have questions or concerns.
The nature of what I send
Dear Mama Letters is a subscription mail service. Each month I hand-seal and personally mail flat envelopes containing a letter, affirmation and scripture cards, a small treat, and rotating flat extras. Because these items are perishable, consumable, or personally assembled for each subscriber, I am not able to accept returns on delivered envelopes or their contents.
Monthly and Twice the Love subscriptions
I do not offer refunds for the current billing period once payment has been processed. Because I begin preparing and assembling envelopes before the 1st of each month, charges for that billing period are final once they have been made. If you would like to avoid being charged for a future month please cancel your subscription before your next billing date. Cancellations made before the billing date will not be charged again.
Annual subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after the billing date. When you purchase an annual subscription I commit to a full year of content, materials, postage, and personal time on your behalf from the moment you sign up. For this reason I am not able to offer refunds on annual plans once payment has been processed. You may cancel your annual subscription at any time to prevent it from renewing and you will continue to receive your envelopes through the remainder of the year you have paid for.
Gifted subscriptions
Gifted subscriptions follow the same refund policy as standard subscriptions. Monthly gifted subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period. Annual gifted subscriptions are non-refundable after the billing date. You may cancel a gifted subscription at any time to prevent future charges.
Damaged or defective items
If your envelope arrives damaged or if the contents are defective in any way please email me at hello@dearmamaletters.org within 7 days of receiving your envelope. Please include a photo of the damaged item or envelope so I can assess the situation. I will do my best to make it right — whether that means sending a replacement item, crediting your account, or finding another solution that feels fair.
Lost envelopes
If your envelope does not arrive within 10 business days of the ship date please reach out to me at hello@dearmamaletters.org. I am not responsible for mail lost or delayed by USPS once your envelope has left my hands, but I genuinely care that your envelope reaches you and I will always do my best to find a solution. In some cases I may be able to resend lost items at my discretion.
Incorrect address
I am not responsible for envelopes sent to an incorrect or outdated address if I was not notified before the ship date. If your envelope is returned to me due to an incorrect address I will reach out to you by email and I am happy to resend it however a small reshipping fee may apply to cover postage. Please keep your address up to date in your account at all times.
Billing errors
If you believe you have been charged in error please email me at hello@dearmamaletters.org as soon as possible and I will review your account right away. Legitimate billing errors will be corrected promptly and refunded in full.
Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard or by emailing me at hello@dearmamaletters.org. Cancelling before your next billing date means you will not be charged again. Cancelling does not trigger a refund for any amount already charged in the current billing period. I started Dear Mama Letters because I believe every new mama deserves to feel seen, encouraged, and loved. I want every interaction with this brand — including any difficult ones around billing or refunds — to reflect that same heart. If something does not feel right please reach out to me. I will always listen and I will always try to find a solution that is fair for both of us.
