Hi, I'm Danielle.
I'm so glad you're here.
Dear Mama Letters exists because I know what it feels like to be in the thick of new motherhood and wish someone was walking alongside you — someone who truly understood.
I was 39 years old when I had my first baby — a daughter. I had already gained four beautiful stepchildren when I married my husband, and I loved them fiercely. But this was my first. My first pregnancy, my first birth, my first time navigating those wild, tender, disorienting early days of new motherhood.
What made it even more tender was that I became pregnant with her just three weeks after experiencing an early miscarriage. So my pregnancy was layered — full of gratitude and grief and wonder all at once. I held both the joy and the fear in the same breath for nine months.
And I walked most of it without someone who truly understood what I was going through.
Danielle & her daughter — the reason Dear Mama Letters exists
Shortly after my daughter was born, an old friend reached out. She was pregnant — expecting her first baby, also at 39. We reconnected over our shared experiences and something beautiful happened. I found that I was able to walk alongside her through so much of her pregnancy journey because of everything I had been through myself.
I kept saying it — I wish I had someone like this when I was going through it.
Now we are both postpartum, both in the beautiful exhausting thick of it, and having someone who truly relates to the experience has meant everything.
Dear Mama Letters was born from that longing. A way to reach more women. To be the voice that says — I see you. I understand. You are doing something extraordinary.
"I wish I had someone like this when I was going through it. Now I get to be that for you."

Rooted in faith
My letters, scripture cards, and affirmations are written from a place of faith — gentle, honest, and grounded in the truth that you are deeply seen and loved.
💛
Written from experience
Every word is written by someone who has lived it — the grief, the joy, the exhaustion, the wonder. This is not advice from the outside. It is a hand from someone who understands.
You are the mama who...
Reheats her coffee three times before she gets a chance to drink it and wonders if anyone sees how hard she is working.
Came to motherhood later in life and navigated pregnancy without many people who understood exactly what that felt like.
Has carried both grief and joy in the same breath — and knows that new motherhood can be layered and complex and beautiful all at once.
Just needs someone to reach through the mailbox and say — I see you. You are doing something extraordinary. Keep going.
Wants to give a gift to a new mama in her life that says — I thought of you. Not just once, but every single month.
You deserve something
beautiful in your mailbox.
Every single month.
Whether you are a new mama yourself or you love one — I would be honored to send a little encouragement her way.
With so much love, Danielle
