Getting started
How do I subscribe?
Choose your plan on the Shop page — Monthly Love ($10/month), Twice the Love ($18/month), or Annual Love ($99/year). Click Subscribe, enter your details at checkout, and your first envelope will be on its way on the 1st of the following month. Annual subscribers receive a welcome envelope immediately.
When does my first envelope arrive?
All envelopes ship on the 1st of each month. If you subscribe before the 1st your first envelope goes out that month. If you subscribe after the 1st it ships on the 1st of the following month. Annual subscribers receive a special welcome envelope within 3 to 5 business days of signing up.
When will I be charged?
Monthly and Twice the Love subscribers are billed on the same date each month — the date you first subscribed. Annual subscribers are billed once at signup and again on their renewal date one year later. You will receive an email reminder a few days before each charge.
Can I pause my subscription?
Yes — log into your account and you can pause your subscription if you need a break. Pausing stops future billing until you resume. Please pause before your next billing date to avoid being charged for that month.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Absolutely — cancel anytime before your next billing date and you will not be charged again. Log into your account to cancel, or email me at hello@dearmamaletters.org and I will take care of it right away. No questions, no hard feelings.
Can I switch plans?
Yes — email me at hello@dearmamaletters.org and I will switch your plan before your next billing date. Upgrades and downgrades are both welcome.
What is your refund policy?
I do not offer refunds for the current billing period once payment has been processed and your envelope has been prepared for shipping. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after the billing date. If you have a concern about a charge please reach out and I will do my best to make it right.
Getting it to your mailbox
How do you ship?
I send all envelopes via USPS First Class mail using Forever Stamps. Delivery typically takes 3 to 7 business days depending on your location. Because each envelope is lightweight and flat it travels just like a standard piece of mail — right to your mailbox.
Do you offer tracking?
Because I ship via First Class stamp mail I am not able to provide individual tracking numbers. If your envelope has not arrived within 10 business days of the ship date please reach out and I will look into it for you.
What if my envelope gets lost or damaged?
Please email me at hello@dearmamaletters.org and I will do my best to make it right. I am not responsible for mail lost or delayed by USPS once it has left my hands, but I genuinely care that your envelope reaches you and I will work with you to find a solution.
Can I update my shipping address?
Yes — log into your account and update your address before your next billing date. Moving? Email me as soon as you know and I will make sure your next envelope goes to the right place.
What if my envelope is returned to you?
If an envelope is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address I will reach out to you by email. Please make sure your address is up to date in your account. I am happy to resend but a reshipping fee may apply.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we ship within the United States only. International shipping is something I hope to offer in the future — join my email list to be the first to know when that changes.
Giving the gift of Dear Mama Letters
How do I gift a subscription?
Simply enter the recipient's mailing address at checkout instead of your own. Her envelopes will arrive in her mailbox each month — no gift wrapping required. The envelope itself already feels like a gift.
Will she know it's from me?
The envelopes come from Dear Mama Letters so she will know it is a subscription service, but she will not see the price or your billing details. I recommend sending her a note to let her know you gifted it — that moment of telling her is a gift in itself.
Which plan makes the best gift?
The Annual Love plan at $99 is the most popular gift choice — it gives a whole year of encouragement and feels complete and intentional. It is perfect for baby showers, Mother's Day, Christmas, or just because. Monthly plans make wonderful ongoing gifts too.
Can I send a gift to a PO box?
Yes — since I ship flat envelopes via USPS First Class mail, PO boxes are perfectly fine. Just enter the PO box as the shipping address at checkout.
Can I cancel a gift subscription I purchased for someone else?
Yes — as the subscriber you can cancel anytime before the next billing date. Email me at hello@dearmamaletters.org and I will take care of it for you.
About what we send
What is actually inside each envelope?
Every envelope includes a personal letter of encouragement, affirmation and scripture cards, a small flat treat such as a tea bag, honey stick, or chocolate, and a rotating flat extra like a sticker sheet, recipe card, bookmark, or seed packet. Twice the Love subscribers receive two envelopes per month and a bonus surprise insert. Annual subscribers also receive seasonal themed envelopes throughout the year.
Are the letters personalized to me specifically?
The letters are written for new mamas and speak directly to the heart of that season of life — the exhaustion, the joy, the identity shifts, the hard and holy moments. While they are not individually personalized, they are written to feel as though they were. Many subscribers tell me it feels like the letter was written just for them.
Is the content faith based?
Yes — Dear Mama Letters is rooted in faith. My letters, scripture cards, and affirmations are written from a Christian perspective with a gentle, non-preachy tone. I believe every mama is seen, known, and deeply loved — and my content reflects that.
Does the content change every month?
Yes — every envelope is different. Letters rotate through different themes each month such as identity, rest, community, joy, exhaustion, and grace. Treats, stickers, and extras also rotate so each envelope feels fresh and surprising.
How long is the subscription intended for?
Dear Mama Letters is written for new mamas — typically the first year or two of motherhood. That said, many subscribers continue well beyond the newborn stage because the encouragement stays relevant. There is no time limit. Stay as long as the letters speak to your season.
